About this course

This course covers how to work securely outside the office: at home, in cafés, on the move and abroad. It explains safe use of networks and Wi-Fi, looking after devices, staying secure when travelling, and keeping calls and screens private in a home office, and ends with a simple checklist. It’s written for every employee who works remotely some or all of the time.

Remote work moved company data onto home networks, shared family computers and laptops used on trains and in hotel lobbies. Few people think about who can overhear a call, see a screen or join the same Wi-Fi, and devices are easily lost or stolen when travelling. Each of these gaps can expose company or client information outside the protections of the office.
