About this course
This course explains how phishing and social engineering work, and what attackers can learn about someone from what’s online. It covers the warning signs in email, text messages, phone calls and QR codes, impersonation of colleagues, executives and suppliers, and increasingly convincing AI-generated messages. It also covers what to do after clicking a link and how to report, and gives learners practice spotting the lure. It’s written for every employee.
Many cyberattacks start with a message someone trusted. Attackers impersonate managers, suppliers and IT support, and AI now makes their messages polished and personal, so looking for spelling mistakes no longer works. One click or one phone call can hand over a password or install malware, and people who realize they’ve been fooled often stay silent out of embarrassment, giving the attacker more time.
