About this course

This course explains what bribery and corruption are and how they appear in normal business. It covers gifts and hospitality, facilitation payments, donations and sponsorships, the risks that come through agents, suppliers and other third parties, the red flags to watch for, and how to report a concern. It’s written for every employee, not only those in sales or procurement.

Bribery rarely looks like an envelope of cash. It looks like a generous gift, an invitation, a “small fee” to speed things up, or an agent whose charges nobody questions. Employees who don’t recognize these situations can put themselves and the organization at serious risk without meaning to. A single case can lead to prosecution, lost contracts and lasting damage to the organization’s reputation with clients and regulators.
