About this course
This course explains why the organization has a code of conduct and how it applies to the decisions people make every day. It covers where to find the rules and who to ask, how to speak for the company on social media and keep information confidential, what happens when the code is broken, and how to speak up safely, including protection from retaliation. It includes space for the organization’s own code and is written for every employee.
Most codes of conduct are signed on the first day and never read again. When a real situation comes up, such as a questionable request, a post online or something that doesn’t feel right, employees don’t know what the code says or how to raise a concern, and many fear what will happen if they do. Problems stay hidden until they become serious, and the organization can’t show that its standards were ever explained.
