About this course

This course builds the everyday digital skills that working life now assumes. It starts with devices, files and cloud storage, then covers clear work email, chat tools and calendars, joining and taking part in video meetings, writing documents and working together in shared ones, and PDFs, scanning and electronic signatures. A module on online services covers strong electronic identification, with Suomi.fi as the Finnish example, online forms and job applications, recruitment systems and finding reliable information. The last module covers passwords and multi-factor authentication, phishing and scams, protecting personal information and using AI assistants safely. The capstone is a set of everyday digital work tasks, done on sample files.

Most jobs, and most job applications, now involve digital tools. A learner who is unsure with them can be held back at the application form, in the interview and in the first weeks of a new job. The course works with the main office suites rather than one product, uses sample files throughout, and lets each learner practice the tasks at their own pace.

  • Practice on real tasks and an applied assignment

A certificate that lists the skills is issued when every section is completed and the applied assignment is submitted.

About 8 hours of guided learning, in modules, at the learner's own pace, plus the applied assignment.

A piece of real work that puts the skills to use, done on the learner's own situation: their own job search, business idea, skill to sell or everyday tools.
