About this course
This course summarizes the employer’s obligations under EU employment and workplace legislation and how national law implements them: employment terms and the information employees must receive, working time and leave, equal treatment and non-discrimination, health and safety including psychosocial risks, remuneration and pay transparency in outline, employee consultation and whistleblowing, and the records and procedures an employer needs in place. Finnish law is the worked example. It’s written for HR teams and managers, and for legal and compliance professionals.
Employer obligations are carried out by managers as much as by HR: the one who approves overtime, handles a request for leave, decides on a hire or hears a complaint. When those decisions rest on habit rather than the rule, the organization finds out in a dispute or an inspection. The course gives HR and managers one shared baseline of what the law asks and which records prove it; the employment Skills courses in this category go on to contracts, changes and terminations, pay transparency, safety, whistleblowing and equal treatment in practice.
