This Notice addresses the specific disclosure requirements set forth under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (collectively, the “CCPA”), together with other applicable U.S. state privacy laws that confer comparable rights upon residents (collectively, the “U.S. State Privacy Laws”).
1.1 This Notice is incorporated by reference into the TechClass Global Privacy Policy and applies to the personal information of residents of the relevant U.S. states who access or use the TechClass Site and Services (“you” or “your”).
1.2 For purposes of this Notice, the term “personal information” shall have the meaning assigned to “personal data,” “personal information,” or any equivalent term under the applicable U.S. State Privacy Laws.
1.3 This Notice applies to personal information collected by TechClass within the preceding twelve (12) months, unless a longer period is expressly required by applicable law.
In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between this U.S. State Privacy Laws Notice and any other privacy notice or policy maintained by TechClass, this U.S. State Privacy Laws Notice shall prevail, but only with respect to the personal information of residents of the U.S. states identified herein.
3.1 TechClass does not engage in the sale of personal information in exchange for monetary consideration.
3.2 For purposes of the CCPA, certain activities, including the use of third-party cookies, analytics tools, or advertising technologies, may be deemed a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You acknowledge that such activities are limited to the operation, improvement, and lawful promotion of the TechClass platform.
4.1 California residents shall have the right to opt out of any processing activity that may be construed as a “sale” or “sharing” under the CCPA.
4.2 The exercise of this right may be effected by:
(a) Managing or disabling non-essential cookies via the “Cookie Preferences” link provided in the footer of the Site;
(b) Using industry opt-out tools such as the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) AppChoices, or
(c) Adjusting browser or device settings to restrict cookies.
5.1 While TechClass does not “sell” personal information, categories of data that may fall within the statutory definition include device identifiers, browsing activity, and similar usage-based data.
5.2 Such information shall be processed solely for purposes of platform functionality, service performance, fraud prevention, analytics, and user experience enhancement. TechClass expressly disclaims any use of such data for third-party monetization.
6.1 The use of Cookies and Related Technologies shall be governed by the TechClass Cookies Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
6.2 Additional rights and obligations with respect to personal data are set forth in the TechClass Global Privacy Policy and EU & Swiss Privacy Policy, which shall apply in conjunction with this Notice.
7.1 California residents may exercise their rights under the CCPA, including the rights of access, deletion, and additional disclosure, by submitting a verifiable consumer request.
