Accessibility Statement
At TechClass, we are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive digital learning environment for every user, including people with disabilities. For the organizations and teams who run their training on TechClass, accessibility is a procurement requirement and a shared responsibility — and for us it is at once a design principle, a legal obligation, and an ethical commitment. This statement explains the standards we work to, the steps we take to meet them, where we know we can still do better, and how to reach us with feedback or a request for accommodation.

1. Our Commitment to Accessibility
We believe access to education is a fundamental right, and that people of all abilities must be able to take part fully in the programs delivered through our platform. TechClass works to ensure that its learning products — including our website at techclass.com and the learning platform at learn.techclass.com — are accessible to, and usable by, the widest possible audience, across the devices, browsers, and assistive technologies our learners rely on.
2. Standards We Work To
Our primary target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Because our customers operate across regulated, public-sector, and international markets, we also align our work with the standards they are required to meet:
- WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA — the success criteria we design, build, and test against.
- Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act — for U.S. federal agencies and the organizations that serve them.
- EN 301 549 and the European Accessibility Act (EAA) — for public-sector bodies and in-scope private organizations across the EU.
- Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) — as it is commonly applied to digital products and services.
To hold ourselves to these standards, we design and build features against WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA success criteria, evaluate our platform through internal review, and test changes before release to reduce accessibility regressions. As our accessibility program matures, we intend to complement this work with independent expert review.
3. Accessibility Features of the Platform
We build accessibility into the everyday experience of learning on TechClass. Core capabilities include:
Keyboard navigation
Interactive controls are reachable and operable with a keyboard alone, in a logical, predictable order.
Screen reader support
Semantic structure, headings, and ARIA labelling support JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver.
Captions & transcripts
Video lessons include closed captions, with transcripts to support audio and video content.
Sufficient contrast
Text and interface elements are designed to meet WCAG AA colour-contrast ratios.
Resizable, responsive text
Content reflows cleanly at up to 200% zoom, with no loss of information or function.
Clear focus states
Visible focus indicators show keyboard and switch users exactly where they are on the page.
4. Third-Party and Partner Content
While we take all reasonable steps to make the TechClass platform accessible, some content is authored by third parties — course instructors, customers building their own courses, and other contributors — and may not fully conform to WCAG. To narrow this gap, we:
- Encourage and expect our partners and course authors to create accessible content.
- Provide tools, templates, and guidance to help them meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards.
- Require closed captioning on video lectures published to our platform as a minimum.
5. Governance, Training, and Resources
Accessibility at TechClass is supported by a dedicated internal and external framework:
- A cross-functional Accessibility Committee — with representatives from Product, Engineering, Design, and Compliance, supported by external specialists — promotes a culture of accessibility across all teams.
- Regular training programs equip TechClass personnel in accessible design, development, and content creation.
- This statement is published openly and shared internally to keep accessibility visible and accountable.
6. Ongoing Assessment and Improvement
Accessibility is part of how we build, not a one-off check. Our approach includes:
- Automated checks using accessibility tooling within our development workflow.
- Manual review of our platform against WCAG success criteria.
- Listening to feedback from people who use assistive technologies.
- Continuous monitoring of accessibility issues raised through our support channels.
We are committed to deepening this over time — including engaging independent accessibility specialists and involving people with disabilities in testing as our program grows.
7. Feedback and Requests for Accommodation
We welcome your feedback, questions, and requests for reasonable modifications to our policies, practices, or procedures. If you encounter a barrier on TechClass — or need content provided in an alternative format — please tell us.
Contact our accessibility team
Email accessibility@techclass.com. We welcome your feedback and will work with you to resolve any barrier you encounter.
You can also reach us through your organization's TechClass administrator or our standard support channels. Learners using screen readers are offered an additional dedicated contact option, exposed only to assistive technologies, when raising accessibility-related support tickets.
8. Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing process. Technologies and user needs evolve, and we are committed to improving our platform and practices to make learning more inclusive over time. Feedback guides our roadmap, and accessibility remains a standing consideration in how we design, build, and review every product and piece of content. This statement is reviewed periodically and updated as our platform and the applicable standards change.
